„The World in Berlin“ 

Berlin is the most international city in Germany. It attracts creative, open-minded crowds from all over the world. Berlin is constantly changing, evolving and transforming – and the people living in Berlin are part of it.  There are 193 sovereign states that are members of the United Nations (UN). 2 others, the Holy See and the Palestine Liberation Organization have observer status at the UN and there are some more complicated cases. Many (all?) of them are present in Berlin, which is one of the most international cities in Europe. In our project "The World in Berlin", we portray people from as many different countries as we can. The project „The World in Berlin“ portrays people living in Berlin in pictures and with their experiences, coming from different countries and backgrounds and shaping the style of the city. The results will be presented on the web, as exhibitions and/or as a book.

Berlin ist die internationalste Stadt Deutschlands. Sie ist ein Magnet für kreative und offene Menschen aus der ganzen Welt. Berlin verändert, entwickelt und transformiert sich permanent- und die in Berlin lebenden Menschen sind ein Teil davon. Die Vereinten Nationen haben 193 Mitgliedsstaaten. Der Vatikan und Palästina haben einen Beobachter Status und es gibt noch einige kompliziertere Fälle. Viele (alle?) sind in Berlin vertreten, einer der internationalsten Städte in Europa. Unser Fotoprojekt „The world in Berlin“ porträtiert in Berlin lebende Menschen aus verschiedenen Kulturen und Hintergründen in Bildern und mit ihren Erfahrungen, die dieser Stadt ihr Lebensgefühl geben. Die Fotografien werden im Web, als Ausstellung und/oder Buch präsentiert.
